Oh no! John Wall is frustrated!

Alan Cutler lets us know that John Wall is frustrated.  Apparently he’s not been having as much fun over the last couple of weeks, which is to be expected from time to time.

Now it seems as though ESPN has picked up on the frustration of Wall with an insiders only article.  I’m not an insider so I can only assume it comes from the above article.

Recently, to ease criticism of Patrick Patterson having a bad game at South Carolina, John Calipari brought up that Wall had a bad game as well.  Which is likely what led to this quote from the article:

“I didn’t think I played that bad. I don’t know what to expect. He’s probably going to say I played bad today too so. I don’t know. I just try not to listen to him and go out and play basketball and try and help my team win.”

So John Wall doesn’t listen to Calipari?  Not likely.  Let’s make a small change to the quote and see what happens:

“I didn’t think I played that bad. I don’t know what to expect. He’s probably going to say I played bad today too so. I don’t know. I just try not to listen to him take it personally and go out and play basketball and try and help my team win.”

There.  Now it’s a non-story.  Sorry media.
